As I look back on my 25 years in the tech industry, the path I’ve taken is neither straight nor smooth. But every twist, turn, and bump has shaped me, refined my vision, and fortified my passion for innovation.
The Early Days:
The world of Java and Oracle welcomed me into the realm of technology. It was exciting, and it was here that my foundation in tech was laid.
Entrepreneurship and Setbacks:
With experience under my belt, I ventured into the world of entrepreneurship, starting two tech companies. The anticipation of turning ideas into reality was thrilling. But as with many journeys, not every step was forward. Despite the promise and potential, both companies faced challenges that eventually led to their closure. It wasn’t just the money; it was the dreams, aspirations, and countless hours that seemed to vanish. It stung.
But even in these trying times, I had responsibilities to shoulder. Family obligations meant I couldn’t dwell in the past. I had to move forward, navigating the tech world and securing a paycheck to provide for my loved ones.
A New Dawn in Salesforce:
A new chapter began with Salesforce. Over the next decade, my role evolved, diving deep into the Salesforce ecosystem, Salesforce Apex, and expanding my horizons.
Current Endeavors:
Today, as a DevOps Engineer, I’m immersed in GIT, CI/CD, release management, and terraform, working with AWS, Heroku, and continuing my association with Salesforce.
Why this journey?
Why did I not just settle into a comfortable routine? Because comfort doesn’t challenge. Comfort doesn’t push boundaries. I’ve always believed in growth, in pushing my limits. Steve Jobs once posed a question that resonates with me: “If you are going to die, would you worry about what others think of you?” The fear of failure, the weight of others’ opinions, can paralyze even the most brilliant ideas.
Jobs also believed in the power of creation, emphasizing that experiencing a product you’ve built holds more value than mere consulting. This philosophy led me to embark on a journey of self-discovery with Academy Oncloud.
Looking Forward:
My story isn’t just about the past. It’s about the present and the future. It’s about constantly learning, growing, and challenging oneself. It’s about not letting failures define you but using them as stepping stones to achieve greatness.
I invite you to join me on this journey, to learn, innovate, and turn dreams into reality.
